📢 Notifications

Vendora supports automatic notifications via Email and SMS, keeping your team and customers updated in real-time. You can customize message templates, integrate gateways, and control what gets sent.


🔧 Access Notification Settings

Navigate to:
Settings → Notification Templates

Here, you'll manage:

  • 📧 Email templates
  • 📲 SMS templates
  • ✅ Toggle notifications on/off
  • ✏️ Customize subject and message body

✉️ Email Notifications

You can set up:

  • 🧾 New invoice emails
  • 💸 Payment confirmation
  • 📦 Order status updates
  • 🧑‍💼 Staff activity alerts

🔑 SMTP Setup

Navigate to:
Settings → Email Settings

Set your SMTP details:

  • 📮 SMTP host & port
  • 👤 Username & password
  • 🔒 Encryption method (SSL/TLS)
  • 🧪 Test email sending

💡 Tip: Use a reliable email provider like Gmail, SendGrid, or Mailgun.


📲 SMS Notifications

Send quick alerts to customers and staff using SMS.

🔌 SMS Gateway Integration

Navigate to:
Settings → SMS Settings

Supported gateways:

  • 🔌 Twilio
  • 🔌 Nexmo (Vonage)
  • 🔌 Custom via API URL

Set:

  • 🔐 API key/token
  • 📱 Sender ID
  • 🌍 Country code prefix
  • 🧪 Test message sending

📌 Make sure you have an active balance on your SMS provider account.


📝 Customize Templates

Navigate to:
Settings → Notification Templates

Click on any template to:

  • 🧾 Edit the subject
  • ✏️ Modify the message body using placeholders
  • 🔁 Use dynamic tags like {customer_name}, {invoice_number}

🔄 Preview changes before saving.


✅ Enable/Disable Notifications

Each template can be toggled:

  • Enabled: System sends this automatically
  • Disabled: Notification won't be sent

This is useful if you want email only, SMS only, or manual follow-up.


🔒 Permission Controls

Make sure only authorized users manage notifications:

Navigate to:
Users → Roles → Edit Role

Enable:

  • ⚙️ Manage notification templates
  • ✉️ Send manual notifications

🛡️ Prevent unauthorized message edits.
