Manufacturing Module in Vendora

Vendora’s Manufacturing module allows you to create products by combining raw materials. This is especially useful if you sell items that are assembled, mixed, or baked from various ingredients or parts.

🏭 What is Manufacturing?

Manufacturing in Vendora helps you:

  • Build finished products from components
  • Track raw materials used
  • Calculate final cost automatically
  • Manage production workflow

Example: If you sell a cake, you can define the ingredients (flour, sugar, eggs) and produce a cake item using those.

⚙️ Enabling Manufacturing

To start using this feature:

  1. Go to Modules from the admin menu.
  2. Enable the Manufacturing Module.
  3. A new Manufacturing menu will appear in your sidebar.

📦 Create a Recipe (Bill of Materials)

A recipe defines what goes into your final product.

To Create:

  1. Navigate to Manufacturing → Recipe
  2. Click “Add Recipe”
  3. Select the Final Product
  4. Add Raw Materials with quantities (e.g. 500g flour, 2 eggs)
  5. Enter the Wastage Percentage (if any)
  6. Save

Now you can use this recipe whenever you manufacture the product.

🛠 Start Manufacturing

Once your recipe is ready:

  1. Go to Manufacturing → Production
  2. Click “Add Production”
  3. Choose the recipe
  4. Enter how many items you want to produce
  5. Vendora will deduct raw materials and add the final product to your stock
  6. Save

Costing:

  • Vendora automatically calculates the total cost based on your raw material costs + wastage + production charges (if added).

📈 View Production History

Track all past manufacturing activity:

  • Go to Manufacturing → Production History
  • Filter by date or product
  • View detailed breakdown of each production entry

🧠 Tips

  • Set raw material prices in the Products module for accurate cost calculation.
